The boy travels itself on air ball

The boy travels itself on air ball Fort Collins, CO - A 6-year-old Colorado boy feared to have floated off in a helium balloon has been found safe at his home, hiding in a cardboard box in the garage attic. Sheriff Jim Alderman turned to reporters during a news conference and held thumbs up and said, "Hes at the house." Alderden said an investigator on the scene saw the boy and he was fine. He said the boy apparently has been in the attic the whole time. The boys brother had said he saw 6-year-old Falcon Heene get in the balloon before it took off. The flight last two hours and spanned 50 miles and set off a frantic search. The bizarre scene played out live on television as the balloon rotated slowly in the wind, tipping precariously at times before gliding to the ground. Officials say the balloon is owned by the boys parents, and that it was tethered behind their home. They say the boy and his older brother were playing outside when the older boy said he saw the younger one go into a compartment at the bottom of the balloon, which then flew away. The balloon landed softly around 3:40pm Eastern Time with nobody on board. Record is made 2009-10-27
